As MPG Media Contacts’ strategy director, Simon Jenkins, says: ‘Out of home remains a key channel for delivering dwell time – for example, on the morning commute, in the hair salon, in the back of a taxi, during a coffee break… Brands should look to engage consumers within these rare moments.’


If anything shows that a medium is cost-effective, it’s that an ad agency uses it itself. In March, Gyro HSR launched a recruitment campaign to attract top talent by running messages on 100,000 sandwich bags in the midst of London’s creative heart, Soho. The campaign apparently grew the candidate pool by 21% and increased traffic to its website by 20%.
